Our product is aimed at people concerned about the harmful effects of the sun. It was devised as a lightweight, UPF+50 fabric, sun protection device by way of providing a decent shaded area yet portable and reusable year in and out. In addition to the basic requirements of sun protection, Beachshadow comes with a windbreak (which can be used in addition or by itself to the sun shade)

Hello, I am the person who invented beachshadow, I’m originally from New Zealand where I used to get burnt to bits growing up in summer on the beach. The idea for beachshadow came about whilst on holiday with my kids in Europe and the fact that we were having to seek shade during the heat of the day when we should have really been staying on the beach, coupled with the daily expense of hiring a non-UV umbrella which kept falling over in the wind. We are now more aware of the sun’s harmful UVR effects on our body’s than ever as more scientific evidence comes to light, it is even more crucial that we manage sun sense for ourselves and our children. Beachshadow has been designed with simplicity in mind, versatility and quality whilst offering maximum ultraviolet shade protection. I hope that you use this product everyday whilst outside, either on the beach or for the little ones over a paddling pool or sand-pit in the garden, as a measure toward sun sense and protection from UV radiation. |
